Weekend

Some tips what to do at the weekend:

For those who are interested in nature we recommend Moravian Karst (Moravský kras), where there are more than 1100 caverns and gorges. You can visit some of these these caves: Punkva Caves (Punkevní jeskyně), where you can go to the bottom of the very famous Macocha Abyss and explore the underground river from a boat. Other caves are Catherine’s cave (Kateřinská jeskyně), Balcarka Cave and Sloup-Šošůvka Caves (Sloupsko-šošůvské jeskyně).

The other walking tour is less demanding, you can take the bus to the Dolní Věstonice, where the well-known Věstonická Venuše (Venus of Dolní Věstonice) was found. From Dolní Věstonice it is only 2,4 km walk to the ruins of Děvičky. After the beautiful view of the vineyard you can go back to the Dolní Věstonice and back to the Brno by bus. The whole walking tour is around 5 km.
